The most important thing to know about me is I am not a project and will be ready on day 1 to work on individual and team goals. Additionally, I am coachable and pride myself in being a very good person who makes good choices. An investment in me is a safe bet.
My collegiate goals are to play competitive golf, grow my game, work towards professional golf, study business and/or finance and be involved in a local church.
What makes me a unique golf athlete is my relentless work ethic, honesty and integrity. I work everyday with a chip on my shoulder and there is no quit in me. Examples include:
2023 Texas 6A State Regional: I triple bogeyed the 6th hole, but went on to shoot a 69 to help propel my team to the State Championship.
2024 LJT Jimmy Demaret Classic: Going into Sunday, I was 11 shots back and T29, but I did not back down. The final round was impacted by 25-40 mph winds which I knew would create a opportunity for me. I battled back and climbed the leaderboard to finish 5th and only 3 shots back from the winner.
2024 TJGT Tour Championship: I recorded three consecutive bogeys, but remained cool and collected and birdied 2 of the final 3 holes to finish under par for the tournament.
2024 TJGT Irving Classic: In strong winds and tight fairways, I fought back from a 5-shot deficit in round 2 to finish T1. I lost in the playoff, but was still very proud of my fight and determination in the face of difficult conditions and a big hill to climb back to the leaders.
2024 Elites Cup Invitational: In round 1, I recorded 6 birdies, but could not fight off bogeys and finished +3 and 5-shots off the lead. During the round, I called a penalty on myself when no one else witnessed my error. In round 2, I fought back with 7 birdies and an eagle to climb back to finish in 2nd place and a round of 66.
This is the grit and mental toughness I pride myself in. I bring it every day.
